‘La Cuina de l’Empordanet’ was created in 1995 to promote and establish Empordà as a major destination on the La Cuina de l’Empordanet, un tros gastronomic map.
In the past few years Empordà’s cuisine has become a reference worldwide and ‘La Cuina de l’Empordanet’ has a lot to do with this success. Combining tradition and avant-garde when cooking delicious seasonal local produce is one of the premises of this gastronomic association from Empordà.
‘La Cuina de l’Empordanet’ was the first organization created to invest in Empordà’s gastronomic identity. Its dedication to raising the profile of each of its members has made it an invaluable presence in the region.
Promoting Empordà’s cuisine
Since 1995 this association has organised many campaigns such as ‘Sopars Maridats’ (Matching Dinners), a unique opportunity to taste their dishes along with the best DO Empordà wines to compliment your choices.
Presently, ‘La Cuina de l’Empordanet’ is running ‘Tocats pels bolets’ (Touched by Mushrooms) and ‘Caràcter Empordà’ (Empordà's Character, set in Barcelona), aiming to promote produce and cuisine from Baix Empordà. ‘Cuina Golf’ (Golf Cuisine) and ‘Garoinada’ (‘Urchinade’) are other interesting events programmed for this year. //
