When Carlota Calvet and Jorge Alcover met, they set out on the long Way of Saint James. “If you manage to finish the way with each other” they where told, “you’ll stick together.” Since then they have become partners in a business project.
This is the first story they told me at Última Parada, their base camp in Corçà. Sitting on a Chester, smiling and relaxed, they also remembered their time in England and their decision to return to the Empordà. Here they launched Welcome Empordà, a bespoke property search service that works through solid methodology and professionalism.

Welcome Empordà handles the process with exclusivity, “we get involved in all the steps and establish a close relationship with our clients – we’re an extension of them.” First, clients respond to a long questionnaire, a filter that addresses doubts and refines the search they carry out by immersing themselves in the real estate market and asking around here and there. They schedule several visits per day because they “want to spend as much time as possible with the clients to better understand their needs,” says Carlota, adding “sometimes we take them out on the boat and they love it!” As time passes, clients also become familiar with the landscape that will welcome them sooner rather than later. “It’s exciting to witness the moment clients find their home... you should see their happy faces.” We can easily imagine it. And we can also tell that they are all happy with the work done, grateful to make new friends, and pleased to extend the relationship if needed with future remodeling or interior design projects.
