The house itself belonged to the late surrealist painter Joan Ponç, who spent his life here using it as a house-studio. After his passing, his son and daughter in law (Joan and Romy) transformed it into the unique and stunning hotel that it is today.
Romy’s experience in architecture is visible everywhere; her usage of the rules of Rudolf Steiner makes for an abundance of round corners and harmonious shapes throughout.
