The Perramon de Ventalló Foundation, a museum that shows more than 150 works, mainly painting and sculpture of contemporary art from the sixties to the present, mostly unpublished. Collection that comes from the fund of the AMYC Foundation - Modern and Contemporary Art, with names as relevant as Sergi Aguilar, Alfonso Alzamora, Jorge Castillo, Modest Cuixart, José Mª Guerrero Medina, Josep Guinovart, Medina Campeny, Enric Pladevall, Miguel Rasero, Josep M. Riera i Aragó, Gino Rubert and Josep M. Subirachs, among others. The Perramon Foundation has its origin in the figure of Carlos de Aguilera and Fontcuberta, a great cultivator of the arts and promoter of the idea of creating a great art center in the Empordà. Carlos de Aguilera ceded part of his land to locate the Foundation in Ventalló (the Foundation is part of the Perramon House, hence its name), as well as a collection of some thirty works by the artist Miguel Rasero. His initiative was the starting point for the creation of what is now the Perramon Foundation. This museum places on the map a new point of reference of modern and contemporary art and makes available to the public a large collection, surrounded by a sculptural garden, which allows us to approach contemporary art, in a privileged environment. The Foundation expanded its facilities with a new space dedicated to the work of the artist Albert Ràfols-Casamada with a selection of works that show a retrospective of the artist's evolution from post-impressionism and the figurative of its beginnings to abstraction, with which it achieved International recognition
